COMMERFORD’S EDUCATIONAL PETTING ZOO & LIVE ANIMAL RIDES – All 17 Days
Offering Kids of All Ages an Opportunity to touch, feed and learn about animals and their habitat. America’s premier petting zoo will be at State Fair Meadowlands everyday. You’ll find elephants, camels, ponies, kangaroos, goats, llamas and other domestic and wild animals from around the world including exotic birds.
Also available is the opportunity to ride live animals such as an elephant, camel and ponies. The Zoo is FREE with Fair Admission; there is a cost to ride the live animals, which is not included in the Unlimited Ride Hand Stamp.

THE BIG CAT SHOW - June 24 – July 3
Lions and tigers and bears at the Fair! Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary was founded by Kay Rosaire, who enjoys more than 30 years experience working with and caring for exotic animals. Comedic and informative, every demonstration discusses the importance of habitat preservation in the hopes of saving these amazing creatures from extinction in the wild. Come see the wild life come to life right here at State Fair Meadowlands.
KACHUNGA AND THE ALLIGATOR SHOW - July 4 – July 10
Scared of alligators? There is no need to be, Kachunga & The Alligator Show has been thrilling and educating audiences from coast to coast for over 15 years. Kachunga and the Alligator is educational, funny and safe to view. The alligators are treated with respect and care and are not harmed in any manner. The mystique of these giant reptiles is in itself a big draw. Now imagine the thrill of watching a man pit his strength and agility against nine feet 300 Ibs. of lashing tail and gnashing jaws in a dangerous dance of reflexes and cunning. Kachunga's struggle with the alligator keeps each member of the audience on the edge of their seat biting their nails and curling their toes.
