The 2009 State Fair Auto and Bike Show will take place on Sunday, July 12 from 3 pm to 10 pm in the grounds of State Fair Meadowlands at Giants Stadium Fairgrounds. The Auto and Bike show will feature the hottest show cars and bikes, a VIP exhibition area, a
RIX bikini model competition, music and talent performances hosted by MC Slick, giveaways, an exciting vendor midway, and prizes including a $3500 cash payout for the show’s top winners.
The State Fair Auto and Bike Show is expected to be the largest custom event show to take place in the Tri-State area during the action packed fair, which already features plenty of free entertainment with dazzling performers, delicious food, thrilling rides, games, exhibits and shopping. The Meadowlands Sports Complex is conveniently located where Route 3 and the New Jersey Turnpike meet, easily accessible to all major highways. A bus and train service is available from New York City and New Jersey.
Auto and Bike Show Admission is $5 for those aged 11 and over; children 10 and under are free. Tickets to State Fair Meadowlands will be necessary to enter the venue. Adults 13 and over are $9, children 12 and under are $6 and children under 34” are admitted free.

On Sunday, June 28th at 8:00 p.m., Dina Manzo, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Guidice (BRAVO’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”) will make an appearance at this year’s State Fair Meadowlands at Giants Stadium Fairgrounds to raise money and awareness for Project Ladybug, Dina Manzo’s charity benefitting seriously ill children at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ.
On June 28, State Fair Meadowlands will donate a portion of its profits from gate admissions to the charity. They will appear on Sunday, June 28 at 8 pm on the main stage, where they will help to kick off Hypnotist Steve Bayner’s evening show, raise awareness about Project Ladybug and sign
autographs for fans.
“State Fair Meadowlands is a celebration of fun and family - it’s a great forum for raising awareness of the needs of seriously ill children and their families. Through our appearance at the fair, we hope to enrich the lives of local children with life-threatening medical conditions, and help their families overcome the financial and emotional hardships associated with lengthy treatment regimens,” said Dina Manzo, Project Ladybug’s founder.

If you were at State Fair Meadowlands last night, you were part of a record breaking night. We had over 41,000 folks attend opening night and take advantage of our “Dollar Night.”
“Our record attendance last night shows that despite the weak economy, people of all ages are still seeking out fun and entertainment,” said Al Dorso, President, State Fair Meadowlands. “For those who missed Dollar Night, there are lots more bargain opportunities, including Kidz 4 Free Sunday on June 28; Buy One, Get One Half Price on Thursday, July 2; and Carload Night on Thursday, July 9. State Fair recognizes that local residents want to keep fun close to home this year, and we want to do everything possible to give our patrons a break.”
Kidz 4 Free Sunday allows all kids 12 and under to be admitted to the fair for free. Buy One, Get One Half Price night means everything from admission, games & unlimited ride hand stamps are buy one, get one half price; patrons should look for the BOGO sign at participating food vendors. For Carload Night, everyone who fits in your car - up to 8 people - can enter and ride unlimited rides for one price of $69.00, and parking is free.
On Monday, June 29 (rain date June 30), State Fair is offering FREE admission to the currently unemployed and up to four of their immediate family members. Patrons with proof of unemployment such as an unemployment check stub will enter for free and may enjoy all the free entertainment without spending another penny. If they choose, they may take advantage of discounted unlimited ride hand stamps. (Of course, the Fair is also open to the gainfully employed that day!). Summer fun is not only right around the corner, but it’s also closer to home. And, it doesn’t need to break the bank. Special bargains at this year’s State Fair Meadowlands include:
• Dollar Night – Thursday, June 25th. Everything from parking, to admission, rides and select food items costs a buck each.
• Kidz 4 Free Sunday - Sunday, June 28, when all kids 12 and under are admitted free.
• Pink Slip Stimulus Day – Monday, June 29 (rain date June 30). State Fair is offering free admission to the currently unemployed, with an unemployment check stub, and up to four of their immediate family members. Those who enter for free can enjoy free entertainment at the fair without spending a penny. (Of course, the gainfully employed, and everyone else, are also welcome on the 29th)
• BOGO Night – Thursday, July 2. Everything from admission, games & unlimited ride hand stamps are Buy One, Get One Half Price. Look for the BOGO sign at participating food vendors.
• Carload Night – Thursday, July 9. Everyone who fits in your car (up to 8 people) can enter and ride unlimited rides for one price of $69.00, and parking is free.

STATE FAIR MEADOWLANDS TEAMS UP & GOES TRUCKING FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION
Did you know that on average Cystic Fibrosis affects over 500 individuals in NJ alone, 30,000 in the U.S. and 70,000 worldwide? While progress is being made to better understand what causes this inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system, there’s no known cure – only better treatments that have extended the predicted median age of survival for a person with Cystic Fibrosis to more than 37 years.
To help increase awareness and funding for the Greater New Jersey Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, State Fair Meadowlands, NJ’s largest annual family-fun event, will be holding a 50/50 raffle each night of the fair; it will also add Cystic Fibrosis as the official not-for-profit, charity organization to its website.

Is your little one a pretty princess or a ready-torescue superhero?
State Fair Meadowlands at Giants Stadium Fairgrounds in East Rutherford will host its Third Annual Prettiest Princess and Superhero contest on June 28, during this summer’s fair, which runs daily from June 25 through July 12.
We are looking for girls and boys, ages 3 to 8, to show off their best princess or superhero outfits. Contest winners will receive a trophy and other fabulous prizes. To read more, click here.

Welcome to the State Fair Meadowlands official blog. Boy, we’re getting a bit techie here with the addition of all the latest social media and networking tools to our site, including our new blog, a Twitter account, YouTube channel and photos displayed by Flickr.
